China CP Titanium Coiled Wire and Alloy Wire Suppliers - GR1, GR2, GR5, Ti6Al4V, GR7 Factory Products
Products Details
Industrial titanium wire is one of ProX Metal's core products. The chemical, power and offshore industries are subjected to the harsh challenges of severe corrosion, high temperature, high pressure and complex media for long periods of time, and traditional materials (such as stainless steel and copper alloy) are highly susceptible to corrosion failure, resulting in shortened equipment life, soaring maintenance costs and even potential safety hazards.
The industrial titanium wire produced by our company has become a revolutionary material to break the bottleneck in the industry due to its super corrosion resistance, light weight, high strength and long service life, helping enterprises to reduce costs, increase efficiency and achieve sustainable development.
Common Grades and Metal Properties
High plasticity, cost effective and preferred, suitable for most chemical and seawater environments.
Strength > 900MPa. Ideal for deep-sea high-pressure, high-stress parts.
Titanium-palladium alloy wire, resistant to concentrated hydrochloric acid and sulphuric acid, specially designed for strong acid working conditions.
Titanium wires for chemical and energy industry and offshore applications
Materials Properties For Energy industry application
Dense oxide film TiO2 on the surface automatically repair, resistance to scouring corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. In hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and other strong acids (concentration ≤ 40%), high-temperature alkaline solution, chloride ions (Cl-) environment, titanium wire annual corrosion rate of <0.01mm, life of stainless steel more than 10 times.
Withstand temperature range -250°C~600°C, suitable for high temperature reactor lining, heat exchanger coil and other key components. Tensile strength ≥800MPa (Gr5 titanium alloy wire), excellent performance in high pressure pipe seals, valve springs.
The density is only 57% of stainless steel, which greatly reduces the load on the equipment, reduces the cost of the support structure and improves the heat exchange efficiency.
Typical Application for Energy industry
| Equipment/parts | Titanium wire applications | Support for the project |
|---|---|---|
| Chemical reaction vessel | Braided anti-corrosion filters, stirrer reinforcement wires | Reduces production downtime due to corrosion, reducing annual maintenance costs by 50%. |
| Heat exchanger | Coil winding, tube sheet fixing wires. | Increases heat transfer efficiency by 20%, extending service life to over 15 years. |
| Flue gas desulphurisation system | Scrubber tower packing support wires, mist eliminator frame. | Resistant to SO2, Cl- corrosion, equipment replacement cycle 3 times longer. |
| Electrolysis tank | Electrode connecting wires, membrane frame binding wires. | Zero hydrogen embrittlement, ensuring stability of the electrolysis process. |
The comprehensive protection and core strengths of titanium wire in the marine industry
In seawater with high salt content, microorganisms, marine atmosphere and seabed sediments, the corrosion rate of titanium wire is almost 0, no need for additional coating protection. Resistant to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, electrochemical corrosion, completely solving the problem of "rust pollution" of stainless steel.
Titanium wire still maintains high strength and toughness under high pressure environment in 6000m deep sea, suitable for structural components of deep sea exploration cable, ROV (remotely operated vehicle).
Smooth and non-toxic surface inhibits algae and mussel adhesion, reducing maintenance frequency and operating costs.
Typical Application for marine industry
| Equipment/parts | Titanium wire applications | Support for the project |
|---|---|---|
| Desalination Plant | Reverse osmosis membrane stack binding wire, high pressure pump sealing wire. | Resistance to Cl- corrosion, improved water purity and 15% lower energy consumption. |
| Offshore platforms | Cable core material, corrosion protection net, sensor wire. | Life expectancy of over 30 years, total cost of ownership 40% lower than stainless steel. |
| Subsea pipelines | Temperature layer fixing wire, flange connectors. | Eliminates environmental and economic losses due to corrosion and leakage. |
| Shipbuilding | Hull welding wire, propeller protection net, seawater pipe fasteners. | 30% weight reduction, increased speed and optimised fuel efficiency. |

Frequently Asked Questions
We offer Gr2 pure titanium wire (highly plastic and cost-effective), Gr5 titanium alloy wire (high strength >900MPa for high-stress applications), and Gr7 titanium-palladium alloy wire (designed specifically for strong acid environments like concentrated hydrochloric and sulphuric acid).
Titanium wire forms a dense, self-repairing surface oxide film (TiO2) that prevents scouring corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. In environments with strong acids (≤40% concentration) and high-temperature alkaline solutions, its annual corrosion rate is <0.01mm, lasting over 10 times longer than stainless steel.
Our titanium wire maintains excellent stability across a temperature range of -250°C to 600°C. Additionally, our Gr5 titanium alloy wire offers a tensile strength of ≥800MPa, making it ideal for high-pressure seals, valve springs, and deep-sea structural components.
In marine environments, the corrosion rate of titanium wire is virtually 0, eliminating the need for protective coatings. Its high strength-to-weight ratio (57% the density of stainless steel) reduces structural load, its high toughness withstands deep-sea pressures down to 6000m, and its non-toxic surface prevents bio-adhesion from algae and mussels.
Upgrading to titanium wire can reduce annual maintenance costs by up to 50% in chemical vessels, extend the service life of heat exchangers past 15 years, decrease desalination plant energy consumption by 15%, and lower the total cost of ownership on offshore platforms by 40% compared to stainless steel.
Yes. We specialize in acid-resistant cladding technology and custom deep-sea pressure-resistant wires. We also provide comprehensive corrosion environment suitability analysis, corrosion testing recommendations, and sample materials for our customers' projects.
